Cortisol is often blamed for everything.
People hear the word and immediately think of stress, fat gain, poor sleep, and burnout. I
t’s usually talked about like it’s something you need to get rid of. But that’s not true.
Cortisol is not the enemy. In fact, you wouldn’t function without it.
The real issue isn’t cortisol itself. It’s when it stays elevated for too long.

What Is Cortisol?
Cortisol is a steroid hormone made from Cholesterol produced by the adrenal glands, which sit on top of the kidneys. It belongs to a group of hormones called glucocorticoids.
